Design Your Flower:
Sketch out the design of your metal flower, focusing on the ring structure and the arrangement of petals and stems.
Creating the Ring:
Cut the 5mm flat bar to the desired length to form a ring. The length will depend on the desired diameter of the ring.
Bend the flat bar into a circular shape using a vice and hammer or a bending jig.
Weld the ends of the flat bar together to form a complete ring.
Cutting and Shaping the Petals:
Cut the 8mm and 6mm round bar into sections for the petals. Each petal should be of equal length.
Place each cut piece of round bar in a vice and use a hammer to shape the metal into petal forms. Create different curves and bends to make the petals look more realistic.
Creating the Stem :
Cut the 6mm and 8mm round bar into sections for the stems
Shape these sections into stems using the vice and hammer.
Assembling the Flower:
Arrange the shaped petals around the washers, which will serve as the centers of the flowers.
Weld the petals to the washers, forming the flower heads.
Attach the stems to the flower heads by welding the 6mm and 8mm round bar together in your design
Attaching Flowers to the Ring:
Position the flowers around the ring as per your design. You can have them evenly spaced or clustered depending on the look you want.
Weld the stems to the ring, ensuring they are securely attached.
Final Assembly:
Ensure all parts are securely welded together. Double-check for any weak points and reinforce them with additional welding if necessary.
Finishing:
Use the angle grinder to smooth out any rough edges and clean up the welds.
Clean the metal with a degreaser to remove any oil or dirt.
Apply a finish of your choice, such as paint or a clear coat, to protect the metal and enhance its appearance.
Safety Tips:
Always wear appropriate safety gear, including gloves, goggles, and a welding helmet.
Work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes.
Be cautious when handling hot metal and welding equipment.
