Wall Hanging Metal Owl

When I came up with the idea of making this wall hanging owl I first decided on the size of the metal I was going to use which was some flat stock 12 mm x 2 mm. I then decided on the size of the owl which was around 230 mm wide x 380 mm high

I worked on the wall hanging owl by making some round scrolls on my scroll so I could cut them down with the angle grinder to get the shape of the owl.

 After cutting and bending some flat pieces of metal, 

I placed my drawings down on a wooded board and started to lay out my shapes. 

When I had everything in place, I decided it was time to start the welder. After selecting the settings and remembering to turn on the gas, I started to tack the metal parts together. 

When I was happy with the hanging metal owl, I finished all the welding and prepared it ready to paint. My crafting in metal products is handcrafted with care. 

This wall hanging metal owl is a decorative item to display on a shelf, mantel, side table, or wall, and it would make a lovely present for a family member or friends.
